Breaking Ground: Mercy Health

Construction began this week on Mercy Health’s new medical office building in Deerfield Township, Ohio. Part of a $120M mixed-use development known as the District at Deerfield, Mercy’s new medical building will house primary and urgent care practices as well as specialty physician practices for cardiology, women’s health, and general surgery.

“From the outset, connecting to nature through daylight and views outside were design goals for both patient and staff experience,” says Aaron Anderson, part of GBBN’s design team on the project. “Together with Mercy, we were able to achieve the qualitative aspects they wanted for this project by making smart, creative, structural moves. Those decisions freed up resources for Mercy to enhance the patient experience in ways they hadn’t imagined.”
